Evil TNIV Translators Change Bible Genders
I thought I'd pile on with some sample verses from the TNIV where the evil translators are working their insidious plot to immasculate God and feminize the Bible.
Psalm 2:7: I will proclaim the Lord's decree: He said to me, "You are my son; today I have become your father.
Oh, wait. That one's OK.
Psalm 4:2: How long will you men turn my glory into shame?
No, that one's OK too. Here are some more, maybe they'll reveal the satanic intent of the wicked TNIV:
Psalm 5:4-5: if I have repaide my ally with evil or without cause have robbed my foe -- then let my enemy pursue and overtake me; let him trample my life to the ground and make me sleep in the dust.
Proverbs 1:10 My son if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.
Proverbs 1:20 Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech.
Ecclesiastes 8:2-4 Obey the king's command, I say, because you took an oath before God. Do not be in a hurry to leave the king's presence. Do not stand up for a bad cause, for he will do whatever he pleases. Since a king's word is supreme, who can say to him, "What are you doing?"
Isaiah 3:6 A man will seize one of his brothers in his father's house, and say, "You have a cloak, you be our leader; take charge of this heap of ruins!"
Ezekiel 27:8 Men of Sidon and Arvad were your oarsmen; your skilled men, Tyre, were aboard as your sailors.
I'm not sure what's going on. I seem to be finding "men" and "women" all through this alledgedly neutered Bible. I'm sure I'll come up with an example of heresy here pretty soon. I'll try the New Testament:
1 Cor 11:3 But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
1 Cor 11:7-9 A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
1 Cor 14:34 Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.
Eph 5:22-24 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
1 Tim 2:8-10 Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
1 Tim 2:11-12 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.
1 Tim 5:1-2 Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.
2 Tim 3:6, 8 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires.... They are men of depraved minds, who as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.
Darn! I thought for sure I'd be able to join the chorus of critics of the TNIV and find some more examples of shoddy translation that reveals the feminist agenda of Zondervan and the IBS. I guess I'm just not as smart as all those scholars that have sided with Dobson and Grudem against the TNIV.
